Should health professionals meet minimum health and fitness standards?
For example, it would be difficult for an obese nurse or doctor to give advice about health and fitness.Similar to the military, where serving personnel need to meet a minimum standard regardless of their job.

I'm very overweight. I know a lot about health and fitness, but I'd like to get more answers for my quesions?
I don't want to be judged. It's not easy to be obese, especially at a young age I'm just trying to get help personally. I'm 15 and 245 pounds. I don't look this big at all, but I am.That's why I'm guessing the other weight is muscle. I've been told I look 200 and sometimes 190.In my family, for some reason, the second born always gets genes where they have a horrible metabolism. Resulting in severe obesity and not knowing how to get it off. I'm at sever risks and I need to get it off as soon as possible.My mom has 3 siblings. The first one was average weight, second one born was overweight, third one average weight and my mom was the youngest. And she was overweight. My moms sister had kids. She had three, the first and third one is at a healthy weight. The second one is overweight. My moms brother had kids. He had two. The first one is small and the second is overweight. My mom had me and my sister. I'm the youngest, the second born , my sister is average weight. I'm obese. There's an ongoing pattern, that being said, I want to lose weight, but I know it'll be harder, considering my genes are the way they are. I just want help on where you think I should start.Like, how many calories, meals, sizes of meals, anything you know about dramatic weightnloss and how to start, please. It helps a lot

How does exercise affect a persons health and fitness?
Guys, I know that I'm asking you to do my homework for me but I have a few reasons why I wasn't in school on the day that we had P.E. I can relate to electronics causing us to have more health issues. As adults we can decide how much or how little we allow technology to influence our lives. Where I live the weather plays a big part in how active I am. If the weather is nice I want to be outside and be active, when it is rainy or cold I do tend to be a couch potato. I always limited my childrens time watching television or playing video games. I can see a steady incline in the weight of children with more and more technology being used by them. When I was a kid the best times we had were going camping and fishing or going to summer camp. With my kids we didn't seem to have the time for camping trips and did more amusement parks and water parks in the summer. I couldn't find a good summer camp by the time my kids were camp aged. My grandkids are even less into the outdoors than my kids were growing up. It is sad and something that should be worked on of we don't want to see obesity continue to rise.

Please analyze my health and fitness?
I am 5'3, 100 lb 14 year old teenager. I do a lot of exercise everyday, which usually involves 45 min 1 hour of tennis daily and a 3 1 2 mile run, in under 30 minutes. My best mile time was 6 00 exactly. I think I have some fat on my stomach, and some on my thighs. Most people say I am thin, but I feel fat a lot. I eat a lot of food, but mostly healthy food. My diet today was Breakfast 1 bread with jam, 1 glass milkSnack Yoplait 99% lowfat yogurtSnack Snack Mix 230 calories Lunch 2 slices of ham, 3 bowls of cereal, 1 Nutri Grain barSnack 1 mangoDinner 1 cup brown rice chicken breast.

Does smoking weed make more or less of an impact on your health and fitness than cigarettes?
I mean smoking the occasional joint?Like an occasional cigarette vs. and occasional joint?I was thinking that the weed would make you a bit more lazy, but on the other hand you don't really smoke all that much weed when you want to get stoned. If you smoke a cigarette you will smoke all of it but won't get the lazy symptoms.

I'm 5'7 170lbs.I use to weigh 188lbs until I started exercising and running.I'm making excellent progress in high school I was fit until college parties beer etc and gained 49lbs I run 2 miles daily.Well today my girlfriend mother asked me to cut her backyard. I said yes its a 3 4 acre backyard and I used a push mower gas powered non propelled had to push that sucker. Grass at highest was about 4 5 inches average height. Her backyard has a incline I say about 168 degrees upward. It took me 1 hour and 20 minutes to do I was moving it and 94 degrees outside at 6 p.m.My question is Do you think I burned as many calories as running for 2 days at 2 miles a day? If so I'll take a break.

Health and fitness routine?
I am 5'7 and weight 138 lbs. I never exercise and it's really hard for me to get started. I want to lose some weight and just overall look more slim. So I need some exercise ideas that would be good for someone who doesn't work out that often. So what workouts do you guys do a week? Suggestions?Thanks
