2 Questions about muscle and fitness.?
I was reading an article earlier today and it was using some terminology that I was unfamiliar with. Two things in fact.1. " In fact, researchers found that when people did a total body workout with just three big muscle moves, their metabolisms were raised for 39 hours afterward." Question What do they mean by " three big muscle moves" ?2. " Doing a circuit of eight moves which takes about eight minutes can expend 159 to 231 calories" Question What do they mean by " a circuit of eight moves" ?Thank you all for your help. Why are the muscle and fitness magazines a bunch of bs?
I saw one in target today...so i read it it said " gain 10 pounds of raw muscle in a month routine inside" the routine was 3 days a week and 50 sets a day like...how is that going to get you biggerit had like 7 exercises a bodypart with 3 sets of 7 and then a set of 25 repsi have never heard of that lol. the routine seems liek a bunch of bsim guessing they dont have anything to put in these magazines any more?tht routine would take you like 4 hours to complete...ive tried something like that before but it was 40 sets of 8 10, 6 8, 4 6 and 1 3 reps 4 days a weektook me 4.5 hours a dayid get home from school and be at the gym till i had to go to bedim fineive gained 45 pounds in 5 or 6 months30 pounds of muscle15 of fat according to bodyfat tests

The magizines are repetative, and are a quick scam to convince people that loading up $500 of creatine in combination with half an hour of a work out is good. lol, the total ignorance of the issues also pointing out the obvious, when one simple health book could get the same results in half the time.I've found the magazines a nucense, if people read them then go around saying crap out of that 2nd rate slop book. Had someome tell me that bench pressing helps the legs. lol.SEriously.

Hey has anyone read Mays Issue of Muscle and FitnessTo get lean it suggest eating only around 100g or less of carbs for 4 5days, then for the remaining 2 days eat around 250g 300g.Apparently helps muscle growthBut it also says eat near zero grams of fat for 4 5 days and then the remaining 2 eat a normal amount of grams of fat.Are you supposed to do these together in one week, if so surely you would be eating 100g of carbs and then only protein?Or do you think it means on alternate weeksThanks if you understood me in advance

Help with muscles and fitness?
I used to do sprinting competitions in school but now I've stopped. But because of sprinting, I've noticed that I've started to build up a bit of muscles. And since I'm a girl, that isn't really a good thing. Is there any way to tone or slim down the muscles?Also, I want to get firm thighs, so what exercise would be good for this? And how about to slim down get a firm butt?Please suggests some exercises, stretches or any method that will work. Anything is good, just be specific such as for running, is it long distance or sprinting or both? And I'm alright with dieting, just nothing intense.
